Because he was only able to fit us in if we tee'd off immediately. Found that to be a bit of cat and mouse when trying to pay. Only issue is they have to "find you a time slot" to get out there. I found tons of tee times listed on GolfNow for $116 USD. We were staying at the Bahia resort and it was listed through the app at $188 USD. We were told it has the only cenote in the world on a golf course. Greens, fairways, and rough are very short and lightning fast. Ran into some issues with them shutting down and you have to reverse until it lets you drive again. 3 balls were over $10 USD.Ĭarts are unreal. Long, challenging and scenic holes.Ĭlub rentals were somewhere around $60 USD (very decent clubs). There is another review that states not 1 blade of grass is out of place, and that couldn't be more accurate. Cart and bag guys did a good job but not a lot of direction without specifically asking. Balls are priced by the sleeve and are a bit pricey and heads up you'll likely lose some.

Pro shop staff was ok, they weren't overly helpful but not rude. But course and sprinklers are well marked with distances.

The carts were fine maybe they have changed? My only complaint was no GPS on carts. Check them out 1st and if you get one like that they will change it out.

My dads M6 driver was in rough shape multiple dents and really unplayable. Grips could probably be replaced at this point. Taylor Made M4 and M6 woods and M6 irons. Now as for the other parts rental clubs were ok. Again the five stars I'm leaving is for the course. Fairways were immaculate, I mean perfect. Greens weren't super fast, but were plenty quick very smooth and held well. Hole 14 is a great par 5 and hole 15 which is the signature hole is a 245 yard par 3 from the tips all over water. Hole #6 has a very cool Cenote right by the green. Overall though it was awesome and beautiful. There are some spots where slopes run off toward the jungle from the fairways and greens however this is typical of a Robert Trent Jones design. They had just hosted the Latin American PGA Tour Championship the day before we played here. When I go play golf I'm basing it straight up on what the course is like and this golf course is 5 stars. I am leaving review based on the golf course. I'd say It was about 50% newer balls, 25% slightly used balls, and maybe 25% crappy balls in my bucket. But they also had some brand new taylormade balls. Balls were included for your tee time, but it was only $10 for a bucket of 80 balls which is totally reasonable. Greenside sand bunker and chipping area, and even a fairway bunker you could hit out of.

The practice area was great, big full grass driving range, or a covered mat area. I thought that was incredibly reasonable. She came around 4 or 5 times on both days we golfed, and on top of that had reasonable prices. I've also seen alot of complaints about the cart girl. There were iguanas everywhere, it was just awesome. The rough was thick and unforgiving, and if you can't past the rough, good luck finding your ball in the jungle. The course had some absolute GORGEOUS holes, it was incredibly challenging even from the white tees which we played at 6000ish yardage. Barely a divot on the green, the fairways were in top notch shape, the tee boxes were all pretty much flat and level. We did indeed have to use a rock in a couple areas to stop it, but so what? Who are you people that are golfing based off of your cart? Like who cares about the cart, if you care about that maybe get into go kart racing or some other sport where the focus is driving something.rate the course accordingly.Īnd the bottom-line is the course was darn near immaculate.

We had a GPS that worked decent, the cart was super whippy and fast, it was electric but it didn't have great brakes. They were pretty much what most people have said. I don't know how someone can talk about how BEAUTIFUL the course is and give it 1 star? Sure take off a star or two for the carts. The one star reviews are so poor on this site.
